Prellezo is an independent fashion brand that celebrates individuality, empowerment, and self-respect. It is approachable haute couture, hand-crafted in Manhattan.
“I want a person wearing Prellezo to feel like a bullfighter entering the ring!” says founder Rocio Salceda, a Madrid native now based in New York City. Prellezo expresses her belief that the graceful, unimposed elegance of well-fitting and lovingly-crafted clothing is the best way to achieve confidence for the demanding social arena – she learned this as a young child by watching her grandmother make and wear colorful dresses for Sevilla’s annual spring fair. Prellezo (pronounced prey-yay-thō), an old family surname, honors that tradition.
Salceda aims to create the best garment you have ever had by sewing your story into it. Forget about hours spent picking a mass-manufactured piece of clothing and enjoy the fashion singularity of a tailor-made item sewn with love and designed only after a one-on-one fitting consultation with you. The consultation process is part of Salceda’s emphasis on cultivating a lasting understanding of the relationship between body, self-image, and fashion in her clients.
